Abstract

The Indonesian retail sector has witnessed rapid growth, yet the development of the furniture retail sector remains constrained due to significant supply chain-related challenges. Supply chain management (SCM) plays a crucial role in modern retail operations, as it integrates the flow of materials, information, and finances across the entire supply chain. Effective SCM strategies enable retailers to optimize their operations, enhance collaboration between upstream suppliers and downstream customers, and, ultimately, improve both customer satisfaction and overall company performance.
In the context of the Indonesian furniture retail sector, supply chain inefficiencies, such as inventory management issues, delays in product delivery, and poor communication between stakeholders, hinder the sector's ability to meet growing consumer demand. This paper investigates the key supply chain barriers in the Indonesian furniture retail market and examines how the strategic implementation of SCM practices can alleviate these challenges. The findings highlight the importance of adopting a holistic approach to SCM, leveraging advanced technologies, and fostering strong partnerships between suppliers, retailers, and customers. By addressing supply chain inefficiencies, the Indonesian furniture retail sector can unlock significant opportunities for growth and improved market competitiveness
