Abstract
The judicial courts in the Philippines are in the early stages of transitioning to computer-based case management and transactions. This transformation is driven by the recognition of Information Technology (IT) as a crucial component in enhancing various aspects of the judicial system. IT is expected to revolutionize text creation, storage, retrieval, access to law, court proceedings recordings, case management, data generation for administrative purposes, and facilitate communication within the legal community. This paper explores the current state of IT integration in the Philippine judicial system, with a focus on the eCourt program, an initiative designed to boost court efficiency and transparency while reducing administrative burdens on court staff and improving access to case information for lawyers and litigants. By shedding light on the ongoing efforts and challenges in implementing IT solutions in the Philippines' legal landscape, this study contributes to the broader conversation on the role of technology in judicial modernization
